Race Circuit Rules

  1. Runners must complete 6 races and walkers must finish 4 walk events to qualify for the DCFR race and walk circuit.

  2. You must report the following information to the race director at racedirector@dcfrontrunners.org : Race Name, Race Date, Your Time (chip/net preferred over gun), Your Age (on race day - needed for point calculation).

  3. We will score any and all races that you run from the Race Circuit towards your overall score.

Race Circuit Scoring

  1. We will use the Masters Age-Graded Tables from the World Association of Veteran Athletes. We will divide your time into the standard for your age and gender to derive a percentage that will then be used to award points.

  2. We will use the sum of the points from your best six races to score the circuit points.

  3. We will weight points for half marathons at 1.05 times and for marathons at 1.10 times.

  4. The point totals include the BEST OF 4 circuit races + 1 race of choice + 1 marathon of choice OR 5 circuit races + 1 race of choice OR 6 circuit races. The standings and point totals will change after more races are run. As runners achieve the 6 race requirement, they will be added to the standings. Walkers need to complete 4 walks to become eligible for the Walk Circuit.

  5. We will award a certificate of participation in September to all who complete at least SIX of the circuit races and a special award to anyone who completes TWELVE or more races. Other awards will be presented at the annual picnic in September.
