Capital Pride Parade 2009

The Capital Pride Parade was held on Saturday, June 13.  Forty years ago, patrons of the Stonewall Inn bar in NYC fought back in a defining event that marked the start of the gay rights movement.

The 2009 parade commemorates that time with Generations of Pride: Celebrate & Remember. DC Front Runners let the sunshine in with our float theme: 1969 — START of the Race Toward Progress exalting in the age of Aquarius, Woodstock and the lunar landing.
