14th Street Bridge
This long run follows Rock Creek and the Potomac River past the Tidal Basin where it loops around a section of the River by crossing the 14th Street Bridge into VA and Memorial Bridge back into DC. At that point it retraces the earlier section of the route back along the river and Rock Creek to the starting point.
You can shorten the route by turning around anytime before crossing the 14th Street Bridge.
Memorial/Key Bridges
This route forms a large loop around Roosevelt Island on the Potomac River. It follows Rock Creek Parkway and the Potomac River to Memorial Bridge, crosses into VA, runs north on the bike path to Rosslyn where it crosses the Key Bridge back into DC. We then run along Canal tow-path back to Rock Creek Parkway for a short return trip to 23rd and P Streets.
This route cannot be shortened.
Jefferson Memorial
This route to the Jefferson Memorial and back runs along Rock Creek Parkway and the Potomac River with a loop around the Tidal Basin.
It is approximately 6-7 miles long, but you can turn around at any point before the Jefferson Memorial to make it shorter.
