DC Front Runners Privacy Policy  (revised May 2007)

The club may use your full name and/or image in our web site, newsletter, and club promotional materials, all of which are, or may be, made available to the general public.  Other personal information such as your address, phone number(s), e-mail address, birthday and anniversary will only be made available to our club members and not the general public.

Policy for Non-members

Web Site - We do not collect any information about you without your knowledge. If you choose to provide us with information via one of our on line forms, or e-mail, that information will be used only to respond to you. Any information you provide will not be shared with any other organizations, or anyone outside DCFR. We do not maintain lists of any personal information for marketing or sale, and we will only send you information or materials that you request. If you choose to join DCFR, the Policy for Members will govern use of your personal information.

Policy for Members

Newsletter and Web Site - Announcements and articles concerning individual members (e.g., race times) will use their full names. Club and race photographs may include your image, and your full name in the caption. You must notify the Membership Director if you do not want this information to be included in the newsletter and/or on the web site.

Newsletter Only – The newsletter policy is to distribute copies to DCFR members and make copies available to the public, which may include prospective members, other sports clubs, GLBT organizations and distribution through the club website. The version of the newsletter that is distributed to the membership may contain personal information about member birthdays and anniversaries. Copies made available to the public WILL NOT include this personal information. Contact the Membership Director if you do not want personal information included in the newsletter.

Web Site Only - If you wish to have any specific information or images removed from this site, please contact the Webmaster.  

Member Directory - Members' names, addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses are included in a directory that is made available only to DCFR members in printed copies and in the secured (password protected) member areas of the club’s website. You must notify the Membership Director if you do not consent to this.

Club Promotional Materials – Club event and race photos used in publicly disseminated promotional materials (e.g., flyers, brochures and posters) may include your image. Your name will not be listed in the caption or accompanying text without your permission. Please inform the Membership Director if you do not want your image used in these materials.

Weekly E-mail - All members who provide an email address will receive a weekly e-mail with club updates/announcements. Contact the E-mail Men if you do not want to receive these e-mails.

Member opt-out requests must be made in writing to the appropriate Director (e-mail is acceptable) or via the Member Services “black-out” form on this website. Any comments or suggestions may be directed to the Webmaster or any Director of the club. Visit our Contact Us page for more information.
