From time to time, DC Front Runners offers a special nine-week 5K race-training program for beginning runners. The training program is designed for first-time runners who want to get into shape and are led by DC Front Runner Blake Rushin, a Road Runner Club of America certified running coach.
By using a run-walk approach, our beginner’s program focuses on completing a race, gaining fitness and establishing a healthy lifestyle through running.
There are no minimum speed or fitness requirements to participate in this program. All are welcome to register regardless of age, pace, sexual orientation, or running experience.
Participants are asked to join DC Front Runners ($25 annual membership fee). Race registration is not included.
Inquiries regarding our next training program in Fall 2011 should send an e-mail to train@dcfrontrunners.org. Please include your name and phone number.
