Become a DCFR Member
DCFR offers on-line membership registration for new or renewing members. We use the PayPal and Member Manager secure system to collect membership information and process your on-line payment. Visit our Join Now page to learn more about this option.
Another option (for both new or renewal memberships) is our printable membership form (PDF document). To use this option, just download the form or open the form in your browser, enter the required information in the fields and print the completed application. Mail the form with a check for your dues to the address printed on the bottom of the application. No personal information is saved after the form is printed. Adobe Reader (free download) or Mac Preview is required to complete the form.

Make New Friends
New to the city or want to meet others? You can meet new people during our weekly runs or walks. In addition, the club sponsors many social events throughout the year.
Vary Your Routine
Even if you enjoy running or walking alone or have another primary sport, sometimes it’s more fun to exercise with a group. Our club promotes fun, camaraderie and a supportive environment.
Healthier Living
Whether you want to walk 5 or run 50 miles a week, you’ll always feel better physically and mentally. Don't worry if you are a new or occasional runner or walker. You’ll always find DCFR members with similar goals and abilities.
Training
If you want to run your first 5K or your first marathon, let us know and we’ll help you find others with similar goals, as well as individuals and resources that can help you succeed. You can also join one of our race training programs.
Racing
Members can participate in our annual race and walking circuit, where you can keep track of your results, join other Front Runners at local road races or walks and win awards at the end of the year!
Trips
Like to travel? We do too! We take special weekend trips to regional races, such as the Philadelphia Distance Run, or the World Gay Games and Outgames. When you’re traveling, you can also run with our sister Front Runner clubs in over 100 cities world-wide.
Discounts
Need new running shoes and apparel? Our 10% member discount at local running stores will generally pay for your dues in the first year alone.
Community Outreach
We’re part of the larger DC GLBT and running communities. The club holds fund raising events for local charities, volunteers at local races and participates in DC Pride Week events.

As a member, you’ll receive weekly e-mail updates of upcoming club events and races and FrontPages, the club’s quarterly newsletter.
